My husband and I recently celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary. We decided to take a last minute trip with our little guy up to Sacramento for the weekend. It was so nice to get out of town for a few days and just enjoy each other and have some fun. We took Brayden on a train ride, toured the train museum and then toured the State Capital building. We had stayed downtown, and ended up being a few short blocks from the Capital building. We took a walk around the exterior of the building and we being total tourists. We had no idea that it was open to the public, and on a Sunday, and FREE. We ended up spending several hours there, and it was pretty neat to see. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend it.
So happy that we took this time to ourselves and had some much needed family time. We sometimes get so caught up with all the 'stuff' we have to do, but glad that we have special times like this to spend together.

With a chance a rain we decided to take the kids out so they can pick out their pumpkins. Luckily it was the perfect weather. No rain, and was actually pretty warm out. We stopped at The Farm on 68, which is was the perfect spot. We love this place!
The kids all had fun picking out their pumpkins and pulling around the little trailers. It's so fun to watch them all running around, and picking their perfect pumpkins to take home. We were the last ones there, and convinced the kids to at least take one pic all together while the adults paid for the pumpkins :) I'm so grateful to have my family close so that we can do things like this all together. Love spending time with them, and love that Brayden has his cousins to play with. With everyone's busy schedules it can be hard sometimes, but so thankful for the time we do have all together. |
